THE CASH FLOW
INDUSTRY
"A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it." ~ Bob Hope
The Cash Flow IndustryWhen considering financial matters, the most common picture is that of a bank. It is true that the traditional bank has been the cornerstone of money matters for centuries. However, for as long as there has been money, there have also been alternatives to obtaining and managing money. So the concept of cash flow is far from a new development. In recent history those age old methods have culminated into an industry dedicated to serving the cash flow needs of businesses and individuals. As with the rise of any industry, the cash flow industry offers an environment with industry standards, gathered resources, and certified professionals. It's important to understand the difference between the banking and cash flow industries. A more accurate statement than Mr. Hope's quote above is that you have to prove to a bank that you can pay back the loan. With most debt instruments in the cash flow industry the emphasis is on the ability of your business customer to pay. There are other differences between the two industries, but most simply put, the cash flow industry does not replace the function of a bank, it replaces the function of the COD customer. Although there are many variations throughout the cash flow industry, the basic concept is simple. The holder of promissory paper (also known as income stream or debt instrument), seeking accessible cash, sells their paper at a discount of the face value. In doing so, they are able to take advantage of the cash now, while it is at it's most valuable. The buyer is essentially investing in that paper, which over time will be paid back at full face value. As the name implies, the function of the cash flow industry is simple...keep the cash flowing! The Benefits The integrity of an industry is often seen in it's ability to be of mutual benefit to it's participants. The cash flow industry is uniquely qualified to fit that bill. For both buyers and sellers, the transaction results in a win-win situation. Top Benefits for Sellers
